This is a new idea for those of you who may have missed a workshop at your local quilt shop, want to buy the booklet for a friend or you just live too far away for me to travel to your quilt group. These booklets are designed to be used as a home workshop with everything explained from start to finish. The only thing missing is me! The “Embellished Card Wallet” is a gift idea for a special present. The wallet when finished will hold some blank gift cards/greeting cards in a personalised wallet specifically made for your friend or relative.

The booklets can be purchased at the Grosvenor shows where I am exhibiting (see diary for venues and dates), at workshops and by mail order at a cost of £6.00 each plus postage and packing. The booklets include  full instructions, photos and  templates where relevant  to enable you to do the project at home.

Please e-mail me through the contact link on this web site for orders by mail order. Charges for posting are £1.00 per book 1st class mail, or £1.65 for 1st class recorded.

Use a jute shopper to create your own environmentally friendly bag and enhance it by using all the special, small pieces of fabric which you have saved from other projects. The above started it’s life as a Tesco ladybird Jute bag and ended up a very posh shopper indeed! It is strong enough to carry your groceries but may be best used for carrying your purchases at quilt shows where it will certainly make a statement. Full instructions starting with dismantling the bag and then the instructions on how to put it back together plus plenty of coloured illustrations.

Japan’s kites are among the most spectacular in the world, treasured as much for the aesthetic worth as for the pleasure they give as toys. The traditional kite consists of a light bamboo or wood frame over which is affixed paper painted with various bold motifs, ranging from faces of legendary war heroes to brilliant geometric patterns; in the hands of a skilled craftsman, the Japanese kite becomes a work of art.
